Laurent Beaudoin joined L’Autoneige Bombardier in 1963 as comptroller and was appointed Executive Director in 1964 and CEO in 1966. Mr. Beaudoin went on to guide Bombardier’s growth and diversification, first in rail transportation and then in the aerospace industry. In June of 2008, Mr. Beaudoin handed over his responsibilities as President and CEO to his son. However, he continued to chair the board up until 2015, when his son succeeded him. Mr. Beaudoin has been named Chairman Emeritus and continues to be a director of Bombardier Inc.

François Coderre is Full Professor of Marketing with the Faculty of Administration at Université de Sherbrooke. He has also been Dean of the Faculty of Administration since June of 2013. He primarily teaches brand management and marketing. Mr. Coderre has published in numerous journals addressed to both academics and businesspeople. His research interests primarily focus on brand management issues. François Coderre has also been a consultant for the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec and for many other organizations, such as the Conseil de la transformation agroalimentaire et des produits de consommation, Aliment du Québec, BRP, and Pratt & Whitney Canada.

Over the past 20 years, Michel Coutu has become established in a market that requires two essential qualities: hard work and perseverance. After studying finance and law at Université de Sherbrooke, Mr. Coutu was driven by his fascination with the American market to do his MBA in Rochester, New York. The son of famous pharmacist Jean Coutu, he bought his first pharmacy in 1987, while also working on the creation of the Jean Coutu Group USA. In 1994, he acquired 221 Brooks pharmacies. Ten years later, he acquired 1,560 Eckerd pharmacies, making this name the fourth leading North American giant in the industry.

Engineer Patrik Doucet has been a professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Université de Sherbrooke since September of 2000. He was elected Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in June 2013, after having held the position of Faculty Vice-Dean of Education for four years. He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, in addition to a doctorate in education and a doctoral diploma in information and communication sciences. In addition to his activities with the Faculty of Engineering, he provides a variety of organizations with training and expertise associated with machine safety. He also regularly takes on educational reform mandates for engineering schools.

Paul Gobeil is a chartered accountant and has held management positions in an array of food businesses as well as in the government of Quebec, for which he has acted as Minister responsible for Government Administration, President of the Treasury Board and Minister of International Affairs. He holds one master’s degree in commerce and another in accounting from Université de Sherbrooke in addition to having completed the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He is also a director for many corporations including DiagnoCure inc., National Bank of Canada, MDN inc. and Yellow Media inc.

An energetic leader known for his remarkable business acumen, Ghyslain Goulet has 25 years of experience in economic development and strategic coaching for business executives. He began his career in the manufacturing industry before taking the helm of the CLD de la MRC de Memphrémagog. During this period, he was President of the Association des Professionnels en Développement économique du Québec, from 2003 to 2005. In 2010, he founded A+ Stratégies, a consulting firm specializing in investment projects for subsidiaries of foreign companies in Quebec. Six years later, he took on new challenges when he became Vice President of Financial Affairs for ACET. He has been ACET’s President and CEO since January of 2017.

Roger Noël is currently President of ACET Capital and ACET Investment. Previously, he served two terms as Dean of the Faculty of Administration at Université de Sherbrooke, and was President and CEO of ACET for six years. He was also one of the founding shareholders of Sisca Informatique, C-Mac, Gexel Télécom, Médiatrix and Biogentis. Mr. Noël is a member of several boards of directors for private companies and non-profit organizations, including ACET.

Jean-Pierre Perreault studied biochemistry at Université de Montréal before going on to complete postdoctoral studies at Yale University. He then joined the ranks of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Université de Sherbrooke, where he is now Full Professor at the Department of Biochemistry. Since 2001, Mr. Perreault has held several management positions at Université de Sherbrooke, including Director of the Biochemistry Department, Associate Dean of Development and Vice-Dean of Research and Graduate Studies for his faculty.
